


Yoga is for Everyone
Yoga is a wonderful ‘tool’ for you to improve your health and well being. Though the media may focus on showing images of the most advanced postures, yoga is really all about listening to your body and working to the level that’s right for you. In my hatha yoga lesson, we start by relaxing back on our mats and releasing tightness and tension from ourselves. Naturally the breath then starts to deepen and by focusing on the deepening breath, your thoughts just float away, allowing you to fully benefit from the session. We then move onto the asana (posture) practise were we work on every aspect of ourselves from the physical, emotional, mental, to the spiritual. The asanas enable us to open the body, making space for the breath and take our awareness deep inside where we find stillness. We also incorporate pranayama, where we focus on breathing fully and bringing more vitality into the body, before finally enjoying a guided relaxation. At the end of the session, people feel lighter, brighter, have more energy and improved clarity of mind.
